چکیده

ease concurrently receiving #-adrenergic blocking agents. To investigate this possibility, 20 patients with coronary artery disease and normal left ventricular function receiving chronic propranolol therapy were given i.v. verapamil (0.025, 0.05, or 0.1 mg/kg over 2 minutes, followed by 0.005 mg/kg/min infusion) and the hemodynamic and angiographic effects were studied. The mean (± SD) plasma verapamil concentration at the time the hemodynamic effects were being measured was 122 ± 51 ng/ml for the 10 patients who received low doses (0.025 or 0.05 mg/kg) and 214 ± 108 ng/ml for the 10 patients who received high doses (0.1 mg/kg). Verapamil reduced mean arterial pressure by 22% (p < 0.001), systemic vascular resistance by 24% (p < 0.001),

The effect of cardiac rehabilitation on hemodynamic status in patients after coronary artery bypass surgery

Background: Today, coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) in many patients is commonly used to treat complications of the disease. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of cardiac rehabilitation on hemodynamic parameters in patients undergoing CABG. Methods: : In this clinical trial which was conducted in Rajaee Hospital of Tehran University of Medical Sciences 100 patients after co...

Studies on thiopentone and midazolam hemodynamic response during induction of anesthesia in patients with coronary artery disease

Background: Induction of anesthesia in patients that undergo cardiac surgery has more risk than others, because of specific cardiovascular effects of the anesthetic drugs and the preoperative state of these patients, so the hemodynamic stability is very important in these patients. It seems that midazolam have less cardiovascular side effects than thiopentone. In this study, the effects of mid...

عنوان: Impact of Family-Centered Orientation Program on Hemodynamic Indices and Hospitalization Duration in Coronary Artery Disease Patients

چکیده: Background: Hospitalization in cardiac care unit (CCU) results in much anxiety followed by changes in hemodynamic indices in most patients. The accompanying family members play an important role in patient’s care and support. Therefore, the current study was performed to determine the impact of family-based training programs on hemodynamic indices and duration of hospitalization for pati...

High dose propranolol in the treatment of angina pectoris: relationship of dose to blood levels and hemodynamic consequences.

Propranolol blood levels and the effect of these levels on hemodynamic parameters were evaluated in 25 patients with coronary artery disease undergoing cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography. Fifteen patients were receiving high doses of propranolol (320--1920 mg/day) while ten patients were receiving conventional doses (80--240 mg/day). The high dose propranolol group had significant...
